A university scholarship here is a discount on your tuition fees — not cash paid to you. It's automatically taken off what you owe the university each year, so you pay less.
Amounts are shown as "up to" because the exact figure depends on your course, your grades and the university's decision. The same idea applies in any currency (a $5,000 scholarship reduces dollar tuition by $5,000).
